40 Years Of Actress Meena

Actress Meena is in the 40th year of her acting career. Meena needs no introduction to movie buffs as she has done some amazing works across the Southern industries starting off as a child artiste and later after transforming as a heroine, Meena has proved herself as an actress par excellence. She has seen amazing success, worked with the biggest of directors and heroes and scored huge blockbusters in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Meena made her Kannada debut in V Ravichandran's 'Putnanja'. Meena had a dream debut in Kannada as the film went on to become a huge blockbuster and thanks to her sizzling chemistry with Ravichandran, she went on to act opposite Ravichandran in 'Mommaga' and 'Cheluva'.

Meena has proved that she can do devotional films with equal ease and prove herself. 'Sri Manjunatha' had Meena playing the role of Goddess Parvathi, wife of Lord Shiva. Though the film was dominated by Chiranjeevi and Arjun Sarja still Meena and Soundarya left their impact on the audience.

'Swathi Muthu' was quite a tough role for Meena but thanks to her experience she took it as a challenge and did a fantastic job in the role of a widow who later marries the protagonist. Meena reprised Radhika's role from the original and still managed to establish beautiful chemistry with Sudeep.

Thanks to the fantastic chemistry Sudeep and Meena created in 'Swathi Muthu', 'My Autograph' had Sudeep and Meena as best friends. The role was a cakewalk for Meena who plays a mentor and anchor kind of friend to Sudeep guiding him in important situations of his life in the film. Meena's song 'Araluva Hoovugale' sung by KS Chitra became a classic.
