Billboard has released its World Albums chart for the week ending on December 9 and it looks prommising for K-pop artists who have secured some top spots.

'ROCK-STAR, Stray Kids’ latest mini album, scored the top spot on the World Albums chart, while ENHYPEN’s new mini album 'ORANGE BLOOD' owned the second number.

TXT’s latest album 'The Name Chapter: FREEFALL' secured the third position, followed by NewJeans’ 'Get Up' rose on number four and SEVENTEEN’s latest mini album 'SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN' at number five on the World Albums chart.

Stray Kids’ '★★★★★ (5-STAR)', aespa’s 'Drama' and NCT 127’s 'Fact Check' took over the six, seven and eighth spots on the list. BTS’s 2022 anthology album 'Proof' owned the 11th spot while ENHYPEN’s mini album 'DARK BLOOD' returned to the chart on the 12th spot.


Recently, Billboard Japan also dropped its its Hot Albums chart, wherein Stray Kids secured the third position, with their Japanese EP ‘Social Path (feat. LiSA) / Super Bowl -Japanese ver.-,’ and their first Japanese studio album, ‘THE SOUND,’ grabbed the fifth spot for the year. SEVENTEEN also made a significant impact, securing three spots in the top 10. Their Korean mini album ‘FML’ claimed the fourth position, followed by their Japanese best-of compilation album ‘ALWAYS YOURS’ at fifth, and their latest Korean mini album ‘SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN’ at seventh.

TXT's Japanese studio album ‘SWEET’ made its mark on the year-end list, securing the tenth position. The dominance of K-pop extends beyond the top 10, with K-pop artists claiming an impressive 32 out of the 100 spots on this year's Hot Albums chart. Notable entries include BTS's Jungkook, TXT, TREASURE, ENHYPEN, and more.
