'BTS': Every time the members opened up about their dating lives and ideal partners

While BTS members remain candid about their personal lives with fans, they have been fairly private about their love lives. Beyond a few mentions here and there, the singers have managed to keep that aspect of their lives away from the public eye. Here are all of the times that BTS have mentioned one thing or the other about their love lives.

In 2017, during one of their group interviews with Entertainment Tonight, the group had been asked about their love lives. While talking about their album ‘Love Yourself’, RM had talked about what true love means to them. He had stated, “We always, like when we (BTS) don’t have like a BOYFRIEND or GIRLFRIEND, we always say like ‘ah I’m so lonely, I wanna date’. Something like that...But the biggest love we are searching for is the love for one’s self. If you wanna love others, you should love yourself first.”

During an episode of the variety show ‘Rookie King’, Jimin shared that he was once in a one-sided love that he never did anything about. “My face would go red as a tomato whenever we were 5 meters apart…Just like a censor…..those were my memories of it,” the singer mentioned.

In 2015, BTS leader RM featured as one of the guests on the hit variety show ‘Problematic Men.’ During his feature, he talked about his love life and mentioned a girl that he used to date in high school. He mentioned that at the time, she had a lot of guy friends. He admitted that while that factor no longer bothers him now, for his young self, it was a big deal, and also the cause of their split. He shared that they would argue about this all of the time.

In 2015, while filling out a questionnaire for The Star magazine, the members were asked to list out things that they would want their ideal partner to have. BTS member V had mentioned that he would want someone who can stop him from spending too much money. At the time he had shared, “A girl that knows how to save money when I make money, someone to stop me if I spend too much money, a girl that says to buy a house before a car, and someone that is willing to give everything to their parents.”

Suga shared once that he had submitted a letter about his ex-girlfriend to a radio show host! He had poured his heart out in the letter and had apologized to her for his mistakes. The letter talked about how they had been friends, and after a while, he had confessed to her. The two had dated for a while; however, since he was too shy and would often compare their relationship to when they were just friends, it got awkward for them. This also resulted in her breaking up with him. “I truly understood where she was coming from when she broke off the relationship and I went into reflection after that. I would think about everything I did wrong and how I could better myself. I also think back now about those days and wish I would’ve behaved differently,” he had concluded.
