Watch out for Bollywood's newest onscreen jodis in 2022

Over the years, we’ve witnessed some iconic onscreen couples in Bollywood, who effortlessly managed to strike a chord with audiences for generations. While the last decade saw popular Bollywood pairings like Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone and Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt and their sizzling chemistry, the upcoming year comes with a great promise with fresh new pairs.

They’re among the most good-looking actors in Bollywood, but somehow, they never worked together even after being in the industry for a long time. Filmmaker Siddharth Anand has managed to bring them together for the aerial action-drama Fighter, and this film will be shot across the world.

Kiara Advani’s chemistry with Shahid Kapoor sizzled in Kabir Singh in 2019. Cut to 2022, the actress will be seen with Kartik Aaryan in the horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. This Anees Bazmee-directorial is slated to release by the end of this year. The film’s first part starred Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan.

Ranveer Singh has always had a hit pairing with many film actresses. He had a great chemistry with Anushka Sharma in the start of his career, and was a part of many hit films with Deepika Padukone. He looked great with Alia Bhatt in Gully Boy, too. Now, he’s all set to rock the screen with Jacqueline Fernandez in Cirkus, directed by Rohit Shetty. A comedy film, this one also has Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde.

Audiences will witness the chemistry between Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani in Jug Jugg Jeeyo. This romantic drama also features Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, and it’s slated to release in 2022.

Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor are shooting for Luv Ranjan’s next film, and were recently spotted in Delhi. The film is slated to release in March 2022. While Shraddha has had a sizzling onscreen chemistry with Aditya Roy Kapur earlier, Ranbir has a great chemistry with Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone.

Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar will make her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Kumar. The film, directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, was slated to release in November 2021, but now it’s postponed to 2022.

Although Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are together in real life, audiences will have to wait to watch their chemistry onscreen in Brahmastra. The film was announced in July 2014 and it was slated to release in December 2016. However, now the film will hopefully release in 2021-22. This will be Ranbir and Alia’s first film together, and it also features Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna.

Akshay Kumar must have paired up with many young heroines in his career. This time, he’s paired opposite Sara Ali Khan in a romantic musical drama, directed by Aanand L Rai. It remains to be seen if the young Sara and the Khiladi Kumar will have a great chemistry.

South actress Priyamani will make her Bollywood debut in the sports drama Maidaan, which features Ajay Devgn. In the past few years, Bollywood has made many interesting sports dramas, and it will be interesting to see this new pair onscreen.

A Telugu film remake, the sports drama Jersey will feature Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur. It will be interesting to see how this fresh new pair will excite audiences to watch them.
