Shah Rukh Khan to Salman Khan: Top 10 Celebrity cameos that stole all the attention

A-list film stars are bringing back the bromance in Bollywood and nothing says it better than working on a film together. While some of the biggest names are now teaming up for full-length feature films, others have been popping in the frame in short but note-worthy cameos. Everyone from Salman Khan to Shah Rukh Khan, Akashy Kumar to Hrithik Roshan, have been surprising the audience with their special appearances in films.

We've drawn up a list of our top 10 favourite cameos that quite literally stole the show and all our attention.

2/10

Ajay Devgn in 'Simmba'

In a first of its kind Bollywood crossover, 'Singham' Ajay Devgn zoomed in to save the day in the Ranveer Singh starrer 'Simmba'. Director Rohit Shetty gave fans of the franchise something to get excited about when he added a perfectly timed Devgn cameo. The makers have now taken things up a notch by now getting both Ajay and Ranveer to make special appearances in his latest cop-actioner 'Sooryavanshi' with Akshay Kumar in the lead.

Salman Khan in 'Zero'

Salman Khan may just be called the King of cameos, but when he shared the screen with Shah Rukh Khan in 'Zero', it was all things special. While most other cameos saw stars in action mode or just delivering some dialogues, Salman made this one count by getting groovy with SRK to the tunes of ‘Issaqbaazi’.

Shah Rukh Khan in 'Tubelight'

Much before Salman Khan agreed to be a part of 'Zero', Shah Rukh Khan made a special cameo in ‘Tubelight’. The actor was seen playing a magician with kohl-eyes and a face tattoo. Salman revealed in an interview that all it took was a phone call to get SRK to play this role in his film. The cameo went on to be one of the highlights of the film, simply because fans got to see the two Khans share screen-space.

Ranbir Kapoor in 'PK'

Aamir Khan was at his best in ‘PK’ and he made sure all eyes were only on him with his shocking entrance with nothing but a radio to cover his modesty. The film boasted of an impressive story, plot and performances from the lead man, Anushka Sharma and late Sushant Singh Rajput. But coming in as a surprise for all was a shirtless Ranbir Kapoor, who made a spectacular cameo at the end of the film. His cameo not only had fans hooting but even had some suspecting whether Ranbir would play a bigger role in a possible sequel.

Akshay Kumar in 'Dishoom'

John Abraham and Varun Dhawan’s action-drama, 'Dishoom' got even more explosive with Akshay Kumar making his presence felt on the big screen. In true Khiladi style, the actor zoomed in on a jet ski and although a short role, it was well appreciated from unsuspecting views who got more than their money's worth.

7/10

Amitabh Bachchan in 'English Vinglish'

‘English Vinglish’ was one of late Sridevi's most remarkable films. Apart from her strong screen presence and brilliant performance, it was Amitabh Bachchan’s special cameo that stood out in the film.

Sridevi meets Amitabh Bachchan in a flight and their short sequence together as co-passenger was, without a doubt, one of the most heart-warming scenes in the film.

8/10

Ranveer Singh in 'Finding Fanny'

Ranveer Singh gave us all a high-voltage cameo in Deepika Padukone's 'Finding Fanny'. The actor had the audience laughing out loud over his hilarious performance that ended rather tragically with the death of his character. Apparently, Ranveer's special appearance in the film wasn't just kept a secret from fans, but even from Deepika, who was unaware of her man joining the film, up until the very end.

9/10

Hrithik Roshan in 'Don 2'

'Don 2' was all about Shah Rukh Khan and his effortless portrayal of Bollywood's favourite bad boy. In between the stellar action scenes and whistle-worthy dialogues, fans were in for a pleasant surprise when Hrithik Roshan took over the screen, looking suave and sophisticated, suited to perfection. In the film, SRK used Hrihtik's spectacular features merely as a disguise and it is hard not to see why. Although he was gone in little over 60 seconds, it was a special appearance fan couldn't quite get enough of.

Rajinikanth in 'Ra One'

Even Superstar Rajinikanth made a guest appearance in Shah Rukh Khan's sci-fi flick 'Ra One' that was all things epic! Rajini, who immortalised his role as Chitti, amped up the excitement in theatres when he turned up on-screen as the beloved robot, ready to save the day.
