Salman Khan in 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' to Shah Rukh Khan in 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil': Top 10 cameos in Bollywood

Sometimes smaller roles leave a great impression on the audiences as well as the critics. There are quite a few cameos in Bollywood which have enthralled cinephiles in the past. Although the script of a film always revolves around the central characters, we cannot deny that there are a few powerful cameos that worked like an icing on the cake. From Salman Khan in 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', Akshay Kumar in 'Dil Toh Pagal Hai' to Shah Rukh Khan in 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', here are some of the most notable cameos in Bollywood.

2/11

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in 'Ki and Ka'

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan lent their weight to Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor's film 'Ki and Ka' by making a special appearance. This scene acted as a turning point for Arjun's character in the film. Jaya was in awe of his character in the film while Big B didn’t look much pleased. The entire sequence was shot at Bachchan's real residence.

Salman Khan in 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'

When the little Anjali (Sana Saeed) manages to find her papa Rahul aka SRK's best friend Anjali aka Kajol and plans to unite them to fulfil her late mother Rani Mukerji's wish just then Salman Khan comes into the picture as the perfect groom for Anjali. The cameo was much deserving and he gave a tough competition to counter SRK's role, making it difficult for the girl to choose between them.

4/11

Akshay Kumar in 'Dil To Pagal Hai'

The 1997 release starring Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor in a lead role ended up to be a cult of its time. The film depicted love triangle and everyone enjoyed watching Karisma-SRK-Madhuri's chemistry, however, it was indeed a pleasure watching Akshay Kumar donning those big glasses and essaying a jovial character.

5/11

Ranbir Kapoor in 'PK'

Aamir looked at his weird best in ‘PK’ but Ranbir entry in the end as an alien from another 'gola' cracked us even more. To give the film an interesting end director Rajkumar Hirani roped in Ranbir Kapoor to and left audiences spellbound. That was totally an unexpected cameo.

6/11

Shah Rukh Khan in 'Ae Dil Hai Muskhil'

Who would ever forget the heart touching shayari 'Ek tarfa pyaar ki taakat hi kuch aur hoti hai...'? Shah Rukh once again proved why he is called the King of Romance. He had left everybody mesmerised in the theatres after reciting these lines. While Ranbir was romancing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the film, the lady, however, gave preference to her former hubby Tahir Taliyar Khan portrayed by SRK. This scene was surely one of the highlights of the romantic film.

7/11

Priyanka Chopra in ‘Ra.One’

Priyanka Chopra made a cameo appearance in the 2011 release as the Desi Girl. The scene took place in the young boy Prateek’s dream where Sanjay Dutt as Khalnayak had seized PeeCee and G.One came to rescue her.

8/11

Kareena Kapoor Khan in 'Gabbar is Back'

Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor's crackling chemistry paved a purpose of Gabbar's aka Aditya's acts in the film. Although Kareena had a brief role in the movie, her presence added weight to the story.

9/11

Hrithik Roshan in 'Don 2'

Hrithik stepped into Don's shoes for a while in the film when real don aka Shah Rukh Khan disguised himself with a facial mask. Hrithik's cameo was kept as a secret by the makers and it helped them. It was great to see SRK and Hrithik share the screen again.

10/11

Bobby Deol in 'Dostana'

The film was about three friends Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham. The two actors were seen playing gay characters in a commercial Hindi movie for the first time but that was a surprise package for all. However, the more surprising element was Bobby Deol's special appearance as PeeCee's boss who ultimately gets hitched to her.

11/11

Jimmy Shergill in 'Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.'

Although the film was all about Sanju baba and his circuit Arshad Warsi, Jimmy played a quintessential role. His cameo was kept under wraps before the release and therefore it felt more intriguing to watch him on the silver screen.
