'Adipurush' to 'Phone Bhoot': TOP 10 films announced during the lockdown

Due to lockdown, B-town stars engaged in virtual script reading sessions and indulged in preps for their films. A lot of films were announced amid the lockdown. from Deepika Padukone and Prabhas uniting for the first time to Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter's next – here’s taking a look at films that were announced during the lockdown.

'Phone Bhoot'

Katrina Kaif's next film with Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi is titled as 'Phone Bhoot'. The actress had taken to her social media handle to share pictures from their shoot. She wrote, "The one-stop shop for all bhoot related problems, #PhoneBhoot ringing in cinemas in 2021" while her co-stars also shared the same.

'Adipurush'

Om Raut's next flick 'Adipurush', stars Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles. Saif will play the antagonist, while Prabhas will lead. If the reports are to be believed, a top Bollywood actress has been approached for the film. A few days back, the makers released a new poster of the film, introducing the villain. Saif Ali Khan will essay the role of Lankesh in the film.

'Radhe Shyam'

Prabhas is all set to impress his fans with his next Radhe Shyam. A few days back, the director of the film Radha Krishna Kumar has announced that the film shoot will resume in the second week of September. ‘All excited to resume the shoot from 2nd week of September, the longest and the loveliest schedule with our darling #prabhas and @hegdepooja @UV_Creations @UVKrishnamRaju @itsBhushanKumar #RadheShyam (sic). The film also stars Pooja Hegde, Priyadarshi, Bhagyashree in pivotal roles.

Deepika Padukone-Prabhas' untitled film

Deepika Padukone and Prabhas are all set to team up for the first time ever, with National award-winning filmmaker Nag Ashwin. The yet-to-be-titled venture is a sci-fi drama. The film will be released in Hindi as well as all South languages."Deepika and Prabhas will be one of the main highlights of the film and the story between them will remain in the audiences’ hearts for many years to come,” Nag Ashwin told ETimes

Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone's film

According to Filmfare report, SRK has signed the dotted line for Tamil director Atlee’s next titled Sanki. The sources informed Filmfare that Deepika Padukone is on board to star opposite Shah Rukh Khan. SRK and DO have teamed up in the past for 'Om Shanti Om', 'Chennai Express' and 'Happy New Year'. Their films have been blockbusters.

Ajay Devgn's film on Galwan Valley clash

Ajay Devgn is making a film on the India-China Galwan valley clash. The fatal face-off took place on June 15 and 20 Indian soldiers were martyred. It is still not known if the actor will be essaying the lead in this real-life inspired war drama. The cast has not been announced yet.

Farhan Akhtar's space movie

'Saare Jahaan Se Achcha' is based on the life of Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma. According to the Mumbai Mirror report, the film will feature Farhan Akhtar in a lead role. A source close to the development, “After a lot of brainstorming, the team zeroed in on Farhan as he played athlete Milkha Singh to perfection in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Talks are on and after finishing his current commitments, he is expected to jump into the prep, which includes body transformation, physical training and understanding the nuances of an astronaut.”

'Sab First Class hai'

Emraan Hashmi is all set to impress his fans with a comedy film, 'Sab First Class Hai'. The film revolves around the aspirations and dreams of the common man. Speaking about the script, Emraan said, "Balwinder's script is a laugh riot but has its poignant moments as well. It's unlike anything I've done before and was pretty much on board after I heard the first narration''.

Rajkummar Rao in the remake of Telugu film

Rajkummar Rao has been roped in the Hindi remake of Telugu thriller HIT. The Telegu film starred Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles. The movie will be helmed by Dr Sailesh Kolanu, who had also directed the original movie. The film is reportedly scheduled to go on floors the next year.

'14 Phere'

Vikrant Massey and Kriti Kharbanda are all set to star in a social-comedy '14 Phere'. The film will go on floors in November. The makers stated that it will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, and Lucknow, will be released on 9 July 2021. Helmed by Devanshu Singh, the script is by Manoj Kalwani.
