27th June marks the death anniversary of the celebrated musician R D Burman, and in honor of the same Lata Mangeshkar has penned a sweet note. She wrote - “Namaskar.Apne pyare sangeet se aur acche swabhav se sab ka dil jitnewale R D Burman yaane Pancham ki aaj jayanti hai.Wo apne pitaji se bahut pyar karta tha.Pancham ka aur mera rishta bahut anokha tha wo jab bhi khush hota ya dukhi hota to apni mann ki baatein mujhe bataaya karta”
(Greetings, today is the death anniversary of the man who won hearts with his music and sweet nature, R D Burman, aka, Pancham. He loved his father very much.Pancham and I had a special bond, whenever he used to feel happy or sad, he used to share his feelings with me)
Lata Mangeshkar and R D Burman gave the music lovers some of the best songs of all time. Their work together has been recorded under the classic melodies.
