With American rapper, Armando Christian Perez, popularly known as Pitbull, all set to rock India with his concerts in Noida, Mumbai and Pune, music fans are leaving no stone unturned to make sure that they’re there to catch the fun.
And Pitbull’s die-hard fans don’t want any hiccups, so they’ve decided to give the Delhi concert a miss given the city’s reputation when it comes to hosting artistes for concerts.

After the debacle of the Bryan Adams and the Metallica concerts, which were cancelled at the last minute, fans have decided to head to Mumbai and Pune for the show.
While Delhi’s proximity to Jaipur is reason enough for Jaipurites to go to the capital for the Noida concert, Pitbull’s Jaipur fans don’t want to give another chance to Delhi to disappoint them. “I had gone to the capital for the Metallica concert, and it was a huge turn-off when things took an ugly turn and it was cancelled last minute. It’s said that precaution is better than cure, therefore, I don’t want to take a chance with Pitbull. So I am going to Mumbai to attend the concert on Saturday,” said 23-year-old Jashn Chopra (MBA student). This is the first time that 26-year-old Chavvi Jain is attending a music concert, and so she wants to avoid any sort of misfortune. “I know it’s bizarre to go to Pune and not Delhi to attend a concert, but given Delhi’s history of cancelled concerts of international artists, I have decided to go to Pune on Sunday to see Pitbull live in action.” She adds, “Though I had a very hard time explaining my parents the reasons of going to Pune, I am finally off and I wish all the luck to the Pitbull fans who will be in Delhi for the Noida concert.”
And though Pitbull is performing in a nightclub and not on open grounds like Metallica, fans are still wary. Chetan Kasliwal, student of Class XI, will not let Delhi make mess of another concert for him. “I can’t afford to miss Pitbull’s concert as I am a die-hard fan. Hence, I am going to Mumbai to attend his concert and my message to Delhi – you can’t make me miss Pitbull!” says Kasliwal.
The rapper, who is famous for songs such as “Hey Baby (Drop It To The Floor)”, is known to interact with his fans during his concerts, and so has asked for a small barricade. “It is not once, but twice that I have suffered coming to Delhi – once for Bryan Adams, and then for Metallica – both of which were cancelled at the last minute. Honestly, I don’t have the nerves to go to Delhi. I don’t mind shelling out more on the travelling bit, but I can’t take the risk of missing out on a concert again. This time, despite the proximity to the capital, I am going to Mumbai to catch the American rapper burn the floor and make my night a good night!” said Jatin Sharma, II year student.
