Himesh Reshammiya and his wife of 22 years ��� Komal, have decided to part ways and move on in their lives. The music composer filed for
divorce
at the Bandra family court on Tuesday. According to reports, Himesh and Komal had been staying separately for the last few months.
Confirming the news to a daily, Himesh said that he and Komal decided to part ways amicably and that every member in the family respects their decision. Komal too stated that it was a mutual decision to seek divorce and that they will continue to be a part of each other���s lives. The couple has a son named Swayam, who they intend to co-parent, as per sources close to the composer.
Himesh���s alleged affair with TV actress Sonia Kapoor made headlines in 2006. However, at this point, it is unclear if this is the reason behind the couple���s divorce.
