I hope my words trigger positive change: Prasoon Joshi
After making a successful foray as a scriptwriter with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, lyricist-writer Prasoon Joshi has been flooded with offers to pen scripts. But he has yet to take a call on what he wants to do next.
“I am exploring a few subjects, especially the thriller genre, but I have not decided on anything as yet. I guess I only listen to my heart. I love working with people like Prakash Jha,” he says.

He has been receiving accolades for penning two diverse songs in Jha’s Satyagraha — Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram and Ras Ke Bhare. “Raghupati Raghav... gave me a platform to express myself. The words reflect what I strongly feel. The songs have caught on in a big way especially with the youth,” he says, adding that he is a patriot at heart and believes in using his talent to help national causes like he did with Mera Desh Ro Raha Hai, narrated by Amitabh Bachchan, for the victims of the Uttarakhand floods.
“Since I grew up there, I was even more devastated when I heard about the tragedy,” he reveals.
Joshi, who is equally involved in brand management and advertising, further says, “I’ve always penned down things I’ve felt strongly about since my school days. We cannot afford to turn a blind eye to what’s happening around us. I just hope that my words make an impact and trigger positive change.”
