Ananda Shankar performs 'Darshanam — An Ode To the Eye' at Hyderabad Literary Festival
Dance enthusiasts headed to Taramati Baradari where danseuse Ananda Shankar, along with her disciples, staged Darshanam — An Ode To the Eye on Tuesday as part of the Hyderabad Literary Festival.
Choreographed by Ananda, the shows’s music was done by S Venumadhav and performed by the Shankarananda Kalakshetra ensemble. The dance recital explored the myriad hues and shades of the depiction of the eye in Indian literature.
