Zohra Sehgal: Bollywood mourns her death

As soon as the news about the sad demise of veteran actress Zohra Sehgal came out, social networking sites have been flooded with tweets from various Bollywood actors mourning the sad demise of the actress.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan called her an "immensely lovable co-star", who lived a journey of 102 years. He wrote on his twitter handle,"Zohra Sehgal passes away at 102 yrs... what a journey and what an immensely loveable co star! Prayers for her blessed soul!!"

The veteran actress shared screen space with him in the critically acclaimed 2007 film "Cheeni Kum". But his memories of her go way back in time, when he was a child.

Actress Divya Dutta, who shared a screen space with Zohra Sehgal in Veer Zara tweeted, "R I P Zohra sehgal! Wil always remember sharing kulfi with you on t sets of veer Zara!n all those pranks n laughter! Tat zindadili!u made."

Apart from Amitabh Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh, director of Bollywood films like Chandni Bar, Page 3 and Heroine was also sad to hear the news.

He mourned the legendary actress and remebering her as full of life, Madhur said, "Sad to hear about Zohra Sehgal's demise...legend in herself...full of life. Inspiration for many. RIP."

Anupam Kher also payed his condolences. He tweeted, "Landed in Mumbai & heard the sad news of Zohra Sehgal’s passing away. An exceptional actress. Loved her attitude towards life. RIP. #Legend"

Anushka Sharma too posted, "RIP Zohra Sehgal . She will surely be missed.."

Zohra Sehgal, who is best remembered for her jovial nature died at a hospital in Delhi on Thursday (July 10 2014).

The actress seems to have touched all the generations with her inspirational work. Tweeting about her, Priyanka Chopra wrote, "102 n a legacy that will always be a part of Indian cinema. It was an honour to know #ZohraSehgal and to b a part of films while she was. RIP,"

Lunch Box actress Nimrat Kaur also tweeted, "In her century long life, Zohra Sehgal ji gave us a million years worth of inspiration. Woman, soul, an existence extraordinaire...what a life!"

Filmmaker Karan Johar called Zohra Sehgal's life as the end of glorious era,

He tweeted, "RIP Zohra Sehgal...what a life...it's that moment when you truly celebrate the end of such a legendary and glorious era."

Dia Mirza, who recently turned producer with Vidya Balan also tweeted about the sad news. "Bobby 102 years of greatness. I will always love you Zohraji. RIP #GrandOldLady of #IndianCinema #ZohraSehgal."

Film maker Anubhav Sinha who has directed films like Ra-one, Dus tweeted, "RIP Zohra Sehgal. The naughtiest Granny on celluloid."

Neha Dhupia, wrote on her twitter wall,"RIP Zohra Sehgal .... U ve left us with so much of ur magic !."

Virr Das remembered Zora Sehgal as the testament to the power of positivity, "Zohra Sehgal. One of the few artists to be fantastic in every single entertainment medium. A testament to the power of positivity."

Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh also took to twitter to express his feelings. He wrote "RIP Zohra Sehgal - Charming & Elegant - will miss you."
