Sonam to Jacqueline: Best dressed celebs at Filmfare Glamour And Style Awards

The Filmfare Glamour And Style Award 2015 took place on November 30 and calling it a starry affair would be an understatement. With gorgeous divas stepping out on the red carpet in their stylish best, it was definitely a feast no fashion-lover could afford to miss. Topping the list, our ‘stylish best’ were B-Town beauties, Sonam Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Alia Bhatt, Neha Dhupia and Athiya Shetty. Here’s taking a look at what they did right with their looks...

Sonam Kapoor

There is little that Sonam Kapoor cannot pull off. She isn’t the crowned queen of fashion for no reason and the actress was at it yet again – wooing the crowd with her supremely stylish look that is. Ms Kapoor made a spectacular statement in her ruffled Michael Cinco dress. The corseted, off-shoulder dress had a high-low hem that made its long train stand out. Sonam went in for a matching red lip, up-tied hair and nude pumps to round off her look. She kept the accessories to a minimal, wearing only a pair of Yoube earrings and decided to leave her neck bare and let the bold neckline do the talking. A smart move!

Jacqueline Fernandez

Trust Jacqueline Fernandez to take every look a notch higher. The actress walked the red carpet in a nude sheer gown by Shady Zeineldine. The heavily embellished sheer looked absolutely grand and the off-shoulder, micro mini lining added the right amount of sexy to Jackie’s appearance. Though we would have preferred a nice, bold lip with the nude gown, the actress balanced her nude lip pretty well with her smoky eyes. She finished out her look with a half pony which seems to have become her patented hair do.

Alia Bhatt

The thing that works most in favour of Alia Bhatt is her beautiful face and also the fact that she seldom goes the risky way when it comes to fashion. The actress sported a stunning black and white Georges Chakra Couture gown for the awards event. Like has become a trend now, we loved her heart braid and the Lagerfeld Bijoux De Famille earrings simply look fab. The actress teamed up her dress with plain black pumps and a mild pink lip.

Neha Dhupia

Agree or not, but Neha Dhupia has got peculiar taste when it comes to fashion. Though the actress does not really have a clean track record with the fashion pundits, when she does, she does it like a pro. The actress opted for a John Paul Ataker gown which she teamed up with bold, smoky eyes and a nude lip. We are not particularly impressed with her severe bun, but since the overall effect was so amazing, we aren’t complaining.

Athiya Shetty

Though she hasn’t been around the block for long, from the many promotional appearances made by Athiya Shetty, we got the idea that the girl is not going to give us many opportunities to complain. Maintaining that impression, Athiya went in for a sleek black Amanda Wakeley dress that perfectly accentuated her lean figure. The thigh-high sheer gave the whole look a nice, bold effect. Athiya added a bright dash of colour with a red lip and rounded off her look with centre parted open hair. She went in for a minimalistic approach with jewellery which worked pretty well for the actress.
