Salman Khan's 49th birthday bash

At his 49th birthday bash, Salman Khan was seen in a philosophical mood, but co-stars Priyanka Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha ensured that there was plenty of fun too. According to a Mumbai Mirror report, at Arpita's secluded farmhouse in Panvel, Salim Khan fired three shots in the air at midnight on Friday to mark Salman's birthday. Thankfully, the party that followed was gun free with the actor cutting a cake decked with strawberries. Sallu's cronies from Bigg Boss, the reality show he hosts, were among the first to arrive while Kabir Khan and wife Mini had arrived a day earlier, the report states.

Salman's Mujhse Shaadi Karogi co-star, Priyanka Chopra, took to the mic to sing for the birthday boy, states Mirror. Later, she was seen bonding with newly-weds, Arpita and Ayush, the report further states. Reportedly, the conversation between Sajid Nadiadwala, Suniel Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh, Sohail and Salman got intense towards dawn. “Salman insisted it was necessary to have a quiet place outside Mumbai. His farm has no connectivity for mobile phones, just a landline for emergencies," the report quoted a source. The fun continued the day after with Randeep Hooda joining the kids on an all-terrain bike. He showed off some fancy stunts till someone warned him that he'd hurt himself, states the Mirror report.

Also seen at the grand birthday celebrations were Suniel Shetty and Ajay Devgn. The actors wished the Dabangg Khan and also posed for pictures. The midnight party went on till early morning, with guests trickling in till 5 am. “Ajay (Devgn) came in at 4:30 am and the duo soon got caught up in a 'philosophical' discussion. Later, they went out for a walk in the woods that lasted a good 20 minutes," Mumbai Mirror quotes a guest from the party. The serious exchange was followed by a boisterous dance when Salman's Dabangg co-star, Sonakshi Sinha, coaxed him to shake a leg on 'Hum ka peeni hai', states Mirror. “But he wasn't in the mood to dance and was happy chatting with his family. He's become very health-conscious too and avoided cigarettes," the source added. Salman wasn't the only one in a sombre mood. Karan Johar, who usually lets his hair down, stood by the pool and cheered the dancers, added the report. It was a night of fun and entertainment at Salman Khan's midnight birthday bash. Almost the entire industry had gathered at his Panvel farmhouse to ring in the superstar's birthday. Apart from his family members, ex-Bigg Boss contestants too were seen enjoying themselves at the party. As soon as the celebrations started, social media was abuzz with the pictures from the bash. All the guests sang 'Happy Birthday' for Salman, as he blew out the candles and cut the cake. His mother, father Salim Khan, Malaika Arora Khan, Arbaaz Khan were present at the event. Newly wed Arpita too attended the birthday bash. She was accompanied by her husband, Aayush Sharma.

Ex-Bigg Boss contestants like Kushal Tandon and Armaan Kohli too attended the Dabangg Khan's birthday bash. This year's evicted contestants Diandra Soares, Sukirti Kandpal, Sushant, Deepshikha were present at the event. Last season's contestant, Elli Avram was also invited for the event. Salman Khan was seen happily posing for the shutterbugs throughout the night. Many celebs also clicked selfies with the Khan. As per the reports in Mumbai Mirror, Salman's birthday celebrations are slated to continue till the January 3.

Priyanka Chopra too attended the event and was seen getting clicked with Bigg Boss contestants. Karan Johar seemed to be in high spirits as he kept posing for the cameras. Daisy Shah, who worked with Salman in Jai Ho had also been invited.

Another big bash has been organised tonight which is supposed to be an even bigger affair. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, guests have been invited to stay over too. Aamir Khan has confirmed his presence, however, Shah Rukh Khan has excused himself due to his busy schedule.

Malaika Arora Khan looked as glamourous as ever at the event. Bigg Boss season 8's evicted contestant Minissha Lamba too attended this event. Salman Khan's birthday celebrations this year has also been extended as it is Arpita's first family outing after marriage. Salman might also skip Bigg Boss this weekend.
