‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’: Interesting facts about the film

‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ is a romantic comedy starring Irrfan Khan and Malayalam actress Parvathy, who play love interests. The filmed is helmed by Tanuja Chandra, who co-wrote the screenplay of Yash Chopra's hit ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’. Irrfan is a versatile actor who has played a variety of roles. The ‘Hindi Medium’ actor has won hearts of his fans every time he has appeared onscreen. His perfect sense of wit and humour makes his fans go gaga over him. The adept actor is a master of stellar performances. Right after the trailer released, ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ has piqued fans’ interest. The film releases on November 10, 2017. Intriguing storyline

Irrfan Khan is known to take up interesting projects. ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ has Irrfan romancing Malyalam actress Parvathy. Irrfan plays Yogi who meets Jaya (Parvathy) via an online dating app. The two have polar opposite personalities and sensibilities. This encounter turns into so much more when the two travel to Rishikesh, Bikaner and Gangtok. They fall in love through this journey of ups and downs, the heartbreak, the missed trains and taxi rides, the tiffs and self-discovery. The two bond over their trip and cherish an unforgettable experience.

Parvathy’s Bollywood debut

Parvathy made her acting debut with the Malayalam film ‘Out of Syllabus’ in 2006 and has acted in Tamil and Kannada films so far, other than Malayalam films. ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ marks her Bollywood debut and hence the actor is very upbeat about it. Parvathy is known for her powerhouse performances. She is a recipient of various awards including the Kerala State Government award and Filmfare Awards down south. She has an impeccable diction and is a versatile actress. Not many know but Parvathy was once a popular VJ with a Malayalam music channel.

Fresh pairing

With Irrfan coming onscreen opposite Parvathy, this should be an exciting pair. The two are starring opposite each other for the first time which makes it interesting to see how good their chemistry turns out to be. The romance in the film has an old charm to it. It is a beautiful love story with a twist. Two people who meet through a dating app which is a modern medium but their love story is beautifully platonic and traditional. Both the actors and their character come from different walks of life. With the two versatile actors coming on the silver screen together, the cocktail is bound to be fun to watch.
