Cannes 2018: Nawazuddin Siddiqui announces his arrival as ‘Manto’
While the B-town beauties are making India proud at the Cannes red carpet with their glamorous appearances, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has joined the fraternity at the French Riviera, but as his character Manto. The actor plays the title role of the famous short story writer Saadat Hasan Manto in the film ‘Manto’ which has been written, co-produced and directed by actress-turned-filmmaker Nandita Das.
The man in demand shared his stylish first glimpse from the festival along with the caption, “Here I am, getting dressed to impress. This time, Manto & not Nawazuddin Siddiqui will visit the Cannes Film Festival. This time, you’ll see Cannes through the eyes of Manto. He attended the official screening of the film with the team including co-star Divya Dutta who chose a beautiful crème silk sari for the occasion, Rasika Dugal who sizzled in a beige gown, director Nandita Das who chose a baby pink sari and was also joined by his ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ co-star Huma Qureshi who looked gorgeous in a beige gown.
