IPL opening ceremony: Katrina, Ranveer, Jacqueline lend glamour

The IPL opening ceremony was one of the biggest star-studded nights of the season as cricket met entertainment on stage. From Dwayne Bravo grooving to his ‘Champio’ song, to Ankit Tiwari joining him on stage, the IPL opening gala couldn’t be bigger. Bollywood stars like Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline and Honey Singh lent their tadka to the event. Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif was the star performer of the night as she showed some mind-blowing latke-jhatke on the stage while performing to her peppy dance numbers like ‘Dhoom machale’, ‘Bang bang’ and 'Afghan jalebi'. But the temperatures reached an all-time high when West Indies champion Dwayne Bravo joined Katrina on stage and made her flaunt her abs on his tunes as the crowd cheered on. Now that’s what we call an unforgettable act.

Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh was another bundle of energy who set the stage on fire with his breathtaking performance on 'Tattad tattad', 'Tune mari entriyan' and 'Malhari'. The actor thronged the stage in a cricketer’s get-up as he entertained the audience with his mash-up act. The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actor also did a Malhari act with Dwayne Bravo during the rehearsals. This was followed by performances by musical group Major Lazer and singer Chris Brown, who enthralled their Indian fans at the IPL opening ceremony.

Jacqueline Fernandez

Srilankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez set the mood for the night with her power-packed opening performance. The ‘Kick’ girl grooved to her superhit party numbers like 'Yaar na mile', 'Party on my mind' and 'Sooraj dooba hain,' driving the audience crazy with her exhilarating energy. Dressed in a black costume and thigh-high boots, the ‘Chittiyan kalaiyan’ girl left the crowd asking for more.

Honey Singh

Punjabi rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh added his Punjabi tadka to the star-studded night. The musical sensation who returned to the spotlight after his rehab stint captivated the audience by performing to his evergreen superhits such as 'Mai tere laila', 'Dum dum bum bum', 'Love dose' to 'Chaar botal vodka'. Now with such a remarkable return to the stage, the night could only be louder and peppier.
