Here are the box office records Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ smashed till date

Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer ‘Sultan’ is just a week into its big release, but the film has already shattered several box office records. The film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, has already amassed an estimated total of Rs 208.82 crore at the domestic box office and is expected to cross the 400 crore mark worldwide soon. Apart from becoming 2016’s highest opener, the film is also the first to cross the 100-crore and 200-crore marks at the box office. Here’s a list of all the records the film has broken till date.

Widest film release till date:‘Sultan’ reportedly had the widest Bollywood release till date. The film released across 5,000 screens in India in addition to the 1,200 screens worldwide.

Salman Khan broke his own record in the ‘highest advance booking’ category. ‘Sultan’ collected around Rs 22-23 crore, which was about Rs six crore more than the record set by ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, which collected about Rs 15-16 crore.
