Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra: Celebs who attended the reception

Wedding celebrations are still on in full swing for Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra. The duo tied the knot on October 29, 2015, in a traditional ceremony in Jalandhar. The wedding was attended by family and close friends and a lavish reception was held in Delhi on November 1. The reception was indeed a starry affair which saw cricketers, high profile politicians and several Bollywood celebrities in attendance.

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, graced the high-profile wedding reception of cricketer, Harbhajan Singh, and Bollywood actress, Geeta Basra. The elaborate reception was held at a posh hotel in Delhi. According to a report on Timesofindia.com, PM Narendra Modi’s visit to bless the newlyweds was the highlight of the evening. Apparently there was a blanket of security in and around the venue. The report further stated that PM Modi blessed the couple and also spent some time interacting with the high-profile guests at the venue.

Another high profile politician present at Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra's wedding reception was former Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh. According to a PTI report, also present at the wedding reception were cricketers MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Kapil Dev and Virendra Sehwag. The report also stated that Yuvraj Singh had taken a break from his Ranji Trophy duties to attend Harbhajan's reception.

Several other cricketers also attended this glamorous evening. According to a PTI report, former Indian captain and Harbhajan's team-mate, Anil Kumble and his wife, and former Punjab Director General of Police, KPS Gill, were the first ones to arrive at the venue. Other Indian cricketers present at the reception were Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and his wife, Ravichandran Ashwin and his father, Team India Director, Ravi Shastri, and Indian Premier League Commissioner and Congress MP, Rajeev Shukla and his wife.
