Celebs who missed Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra's wedding

The much awaited Bollywood wedding of Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra has at last happened, that too strictly away from the media's glare. Rani and Aditya who got married on 21st April 2014 in Italy, left all their B-wood friends shocked and astonished, since they didn't invite any of them except for Karan Johar and Vaibhavi Merchant. Now that the cat is out of the bag, we list out some of their close friends and family who must have missed being with them on their wedding day.

Kajol, Rani Mukerji's first cousin, is top on our list. We recall her recent stint on Koffee with Karan, where she was asked what is the that one question she would like to ask Rani and Aditya. To that Kajol replied, "When are you getting married?" This was for both Rani and Aditya. This shows how curious she was to get to know about their wedding news in hopes of attending it. But Rani chose a secret wedding without any of her cousins and other family members. This has given scope to gossip mongers to talk about the tension in the relationship between the two sisters.

Aamir Khan and Rani Mukerji worked together in Ghulam and since then nothing could break their friendship. Not even rumours of her being the reason behind Aamir's divorce from his first wife Reena. Nothing could affect their relationship. Instead the bond has grown stronger over the years. Rani Mukerji had once said in an interview to Mid-day, "He is someone who I can call even at 3 in the night and ask for help." We are sure after this news of Rani Mukerji getting married, Aamir must have been shocked to know that Rani didn't invite him.

Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji's friendship has been known to all. Their bonding has been strong as he was good friends not just with Rani but also shared a good rapport with Aditya Chopra since Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. Certain sections of the media have reported that may be SRK was informed about the wedding. But we wonder if he was invited, why wouldn't he go and attend such a special day of his two close friends? SRK wished the couple on Twitter saying, "May Allah bless my friends Rani & Adi. May u enjoy the small things my friends for in the end they r the big things. Happy union...love you."

Shatrughan Sinha is next on our list. He has not been that close to any of the families but yes he was curious to see Rani and Aditya get married. In February 2013, at the unveiling ceremony of Yash Chopra's statue, Shatrughan Sinha had referred to Rani Mukerji as Rani Chopra and he maintained that it was not a slip of tongue. The actor-turned-politician had said in an interview to Mumbai Mirror that his intuition has proved right. "I had a feeling that they would get married very soon. I was only pushing the case. Kudos to Adi. Good sense has prevailed. Rani deserved this marriage, as she has been committed to him. I hope they have a happy and peaceful married life." But sorry Shatru ji. Rani didn't call you to witness her wedding day.
