Shuddh Desi Romance: The movie has been completely set in Rajasthan with the protagonist being a tourist guide in Jaipur. Various forms of the colorful state are shown in the title song of film that was shot at Mehrangarh Fort, Jaipur. It was for the first time that any production house was granted permission to shoot at Raj Mandir, the oldest art deco theatre. Some of the romantic outings of the lead couple Sushant and Parineeti were shot at this place.

Bhaiyyaji Superhitt is an action-packed film with Sunny Deol in the lead role. Director Neeraj Pathak has shot extensively in Udaipur which is his hometown as well. Sunny Deol was spotted in the state beating up villains for his action sequences in the movie. Directed by Neeraj Pathak, the movie is currently on hold and stuck in its post-production, due to non-payment issues with Sunny Deol, which is why the actor has stopped dubbing for the movie.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, 'Highway' features Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles and is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Ali chose to shoot in Ajmer, Sambhar Salt Pan and Bikaner from Rajasthan. About shooting in Rajasthan, Ali said that Rajasthan was a must since the story shows the protagonists taking the road trip across six states of North India in a truck. The movie has been slated to release on February 21, 2014.

Khoobsurat, the official remake of the 1980 classic comedy starring Rakesh Roshan and Rekha, is being produced by Rhea Kapoor. Rhea is the daughter of Anil Kapoor. Sonam Kapoor plays the main lead and was spotted shooting for the film in Bikaner alongwith Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. Aditi Rao Hydari shot for her scenes in City Palace in Jaipur for the movie. Rajasthan, known for its vintage jewelry, has caught Sonam Kapoor's attention and she has been spotted buying stuffs from local markets and family and friends.

Dirty Politics has Rajasthan as the backdrop since the story is inspired from the life and controversies of nurse Bhanwari Devi. The case was a controversial one and not everybody could drive the role so Mallika Sherawat was finalised to play the lead. Mallika Sherawat shot in Chomu, Pushkar and in and around Jaipur for the movie. Veteran actors like Om Puri, Jackie Shroff, Anupam Kher and Ashutosh Rana also star in the movie.

Hansal Mehta in an attempt to show real Rajasthan in his film City Lights shot with his lead pair Rajkumar Yadav and Patralekha in small villages, approximately four-five hours away from Udaipur. According to him, he will bring up a completely new landscape of Rajasthan which has more local people and less tourists. City Lights is an official adaptation of Britain's Oscar entry - Metro Manila.
