Months ago, while addressing the students of
Bennett university, Aamir revealed experiencing the weakest stages of his life within the first two years of ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’. “After Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, I signed about eight or nine films on the basis of stories as the directors were all new and unknown at that time. These films started bombing and I was called ‘one film
wonder
’ by the media. My career was sinking. It felt like I was in a quicksand. I was very unhappy. I used to come home and cry,” he told the students.
Earlier, in an interview with a news portal the actor shared that he felt he was working with people he couldn’t connect with, and didn’t know how to get out of that situation. He also revealed since he had committed to some films, he couldn’t have gotten out of doing them. He also recollected those days and shared he was unhappy and it was during that ‘traumatic’ phase, he made a promise to himself - to not do a film till he was satisfied with the script.
Now one can say, with time the actor has surely battled against all odds and has created a niche for himself with rich content-driven films.
