Salman Khan earns a huge fan base and its not only because of his memorable movie roles, but also for his charity works.
A heartwarming incident from Salman Khan’s early years has once again captured attention. The story was recalled on the television show Mission Sapne by
Sonali Bendre. It sheds light on a moment that reflects the actor’s compassionate nature from a very young age. The incident dates back to when Salman was just 10 years old.
Salman Khan's school days in Bandra
At the time, Salman was studying in a Christian school in Bandra. The school had students who were from different socio and economic backgrounds.
One day a priest addressed the students and also spoke about the struggles faced by some children. He explained that several students came from families of daily wage earners. These families often found it difficult to provide proper meals.
He encouraged students from more privileged backgrounds to step forward and support their classmates. The message left a strong impact on young Salman.
A 10-year-old’s decision to help
Moved by the situation, Salman approached the priest and asked how many children needed help. When he was told that around 12 students were affected he made a decision that stood out.
He offered to bring all of them home for a proper meal. What began as a one-time gesture soon turned into a routine and Salman ensured that these children received food at his house regularly.
Even at such a young age Salman Khan had understood the seriousness of the issue. He chose to act instead of simply listening.
From childhood compassion
Salman’s actions during his school years shows the roots of what he represents today. He is widely known for his charitable work and also is closely related with the idea of #BeingHuman.
The Foundation he formed which was founded by Salman in 2007 continues this legacy. The organisation focuses on education and welfare for underprivileged communities.
