Vidya Malavade reveals Shah Rukh Khan did ‘Sattar Minute’ dialogue from 'Chak De! India' in one take: 'That is the real magic of SRK'
Shah Rukh Khan’s most iconic dialogue, 'Sattar Minute' from his 2007 movie ‘Chak De! India,’ still has a decent fan base for the strong and impactful energy it carried. Actress Vidya Malavade, who shared the screen with SRK in this sports drama, recently revealed details about the filming of this iconic dialogue.
In an interview with India Today, Vidya mentioned that most of the scenes from 'Chak De!' are still special, and when 'Coach sir' (SRK) is doing it, everyone is reminded of that scene. The actress remembered that SRK came and shot that scene in just one take. While recollecting how he nailed the scene, she called him amazing and always well-prepared. This is the real magic of SRK, according to Vidya.
Vidya emphasized that the film, ‘Chak De! India,’ is a blessing as it is still celebrated 16 years after its release. In an age where more than five movies are released every weekend in both theaters and OTT platforms, people would not be able to remember names or characters easily.
Vidya mentioned that people call her ‘Vidya Sharma India’ when she goes outside. They also use the iconic moment from the film, ‘Yeh right dekhegi, left maregi,’ to address her. When people ask her if that irritates her, the actress considers it as an impact of the film that she was a part of. She didn't even imagine such a reception for it but was sure about the script and story. Vidya still doesn't understand how it became a national treasure.
Vidya still considers it worth everything, all the struggles that she has gone through, and the number of ‘no’s she heard from people, because no one knows what will work. Nobody knows what will happen to ‘Chak De! India’ while doing it.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly play Don in ‘King’ with his daughter Suhana Khan.
