David Dhawan, the ‘Judwa’ sequel surely seems to be a fun ride going by the looks of the trailer. Speaking at the launch, the actor who has a double role of Raja and Prem in the film, said, “This film is made for Judwaas, for the love between them. Salman bhai made Raju and Prem iconic. This is the second time when Salman and I will be collaborating on a film.”
For the record, Salman has a cameo in the film’s climax in which he will be seen reprising his double role from the original.
While Varun thanked Salman for making ‘Judwa’, David Dhawan couldn’t help praising the actor. He said, “Salman was notorious then and is still the same. He is a seasoned actor and is the most interesting actor between shots. He takes his time to give a shot.”
Talking about the film ‘Judwaa 2’, David said, “I am happy to make the remake with my son. The best song in the film is 'Chalti kya'. The film is shot at the best location - London.” Varun also revealed a bit about the big song ‘Baapa’ which was shot "barefoot."
The leading ladies of the film Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu were also present at the launch. Jacqueline, who steps into Karisma Kapoor's shoes in the film said, “The pressure was high because Karisma Kapoor is a great actor. I had to watch ‘Judwaa’ many times and followed David sir's instructions.”
To this Taapsee added, “I am happy to work with David sir again. He had put a lot of pressure (on us) for ‘Judwaa 2.’”
