Bombay Velvet (2015)

Directed by Anurag Kashyap, 'Bombay Velvet' was one of the most expensive films of its time, but it was a failure at the box office. Even with the star power of Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, audiences found the pacing to be too slow and the plot too convoluted, leading to great disappointment and significant financial losses.

2/5

Himmatwala (2013)

Although it was a remake of the successful 1983 film, starring Ajay Devgn and Tamannaah, 'Himmatwala' flopped due to outdated storytelling and subpar direction. It wasn't interesting enough to inspire the younger crowd and was heavily criticized by both critics and audiences.

3/5

Joker (2012)

'Joker', which starred Akshay Kumar, was a comedy-drama that couldn't find an audience. The film's eccentric tone and plot did not resonate, and the film flopped commercially in spite of its star.

4/5

Raavan (2010)

Raavan, a glossy project from director Mani Ratnam, starred Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. But the convoluted plot of the film and the absence of any mass appeal made the film end commercially while receiving critical acclaim.

5/5

Thugs of Hindostan (2018)

With Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, and Katrina Kaif leading the cast, 'Thugs of Hindostan' gained significant momentum before it was released, only to be ripped apart for the project unraveling due to a poor script and a weakened direction. It was dubbed one of the largest box office failures of all time after it failed to live up to extreme hype.
