Swara Bhasker, who is known to wear her heart on her sleeve, recently came out in defence of Hollywood actress
Amber Heard. The actress even slammed a
troll
for saying ‘she deserved to be assaulted’.
Swara had shared an article on Johnny-Amber’s case and asked her fans to give it a read. A Twitter user commented on it saying, ‘I like you but Heard deserved that’. Responding to it, Swara wrote, ‘Nobody deserves to be sexually assaulted. Nobody. That you think this is deeply disturbing. I pity the women in your life.’

Another Twitter user told Swara that people are supporting Johnny because the trial found the allegations of
assault
against him to be false. Replying to the same, Swara shared an article about Johnny's 2018 UK libel suit against a publication for calling him a 'wife-beater.' Johnny had reportedly lost the trial with the judge ruling that the allegations against him are 'substantially true.'
A court in Virginia recently ruled in favour of
Johnny Depp in his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard. The court found both the parties guilty of defaming each other, but awarded a better compensation to Johnny. The verdict of the came left many divided. While many have celebrated Johnny's win, others have called the judgement a blow to
domestic abuse
victims.
