Last week, Ameesha Patel and Sunny Leone were asked to appear before the Arbitration Tribunal of Indian Motion Picture Producer's Association (IMPPA) on Tuesday the 25th July, 2023 in connection to pending payments issue. However, both the actresses have skipped the same.

Producers Mr Haresh Patel of M/s AD FILMs and Mr. Vinod Bachhan of M/s SOUNDARYA PRODUCTIONS respectively have filed complaints against the two actors. Sunny Leone has to return about 21 Lakh rupees to Vinod Bachchan, who paid her advance for a film, while Ameesha Patel has pending dues worth Rs 1.2 crore. Stern action is being planned against both the actresses.

Speaking on the matter, Ashoke Pandit, Senior Vice President, IMPPA said, “We will send a letter to the makers of ‘Gadar 2’ to stop her (Ameesha Patel) payments till she pays back to the complainant." President Abhay Sinha said, "Both the parties have been asked to pay back the money. If they fail, an ex-parte decision will be taken by IMPPA."
