A firebrand. That’s how Minissha Lamba describes the role in Well Done Abba that won her a holiday to Bora Bora at the Dubai Film Festival earlier this week. While the actress is kicked about the prospect of a summer trip to the Polynesian island, she maintains that she was more excited about getting the opportunity to act in the Shyam Benegal film.
“It was fabulous working on the movie.
There was this great discipline on the sets but it was very natural, not enforced. I was working with a fantastic bunch of actors who’ve worked with Shyam on his various projects,” recalls Minissha.
“It’s essentially a father-daughter story. I play a village belle, who’s the daughter of Boman Irani’s character,” says the actress.”
Well Done Abba is due to release in India in February 2010, says Minissha. Till then, she’s got Sagar Bellary’s next, Hum Tum Aur Shabana, which she describes as a “cute fun-filled comedy”.
