'Singham 3' 'Fighter', 'Kalki 2898 AD': Upcoming films of Deepika Padukone that prove she is all set to rule the box office

After kickstarting the year with Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Pathaan', Deepika Padukone has a line-up of some very interesting projects ahead. She has also got her fans super excited with a sneak peek into her special cameo in Atlee's upcoming film, 'Jawan' with SRK and Nayanthara. Here we take a look at her upcoming films that prove the actress is all set to rule the box office.

Nag Ashwin's upcoming film, 'Kalki 2898 AD' had created a lot of buzz after its announcement. The first look of the film was recently unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con. The film stars Deepika Padukone along with Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in the lead roles. This is the first time Deepika and Prabhas will be sharing the screen space. It was slated to hit the theatres in January 2024. However, reports are now rife that the release of the film has been postponed.

After 'Pathaan', Siddharth Anand and Deepika Padukone will be collaborating yet again for 'Fighter' where the actress will be sharing the screen space with none other than Hrithik Roshan. The actors will be seen playing the roles of Air Force pilots in the film. It is reportedly mounted as the first-of-its-kind aerial action film in India. It also features Anil Kapoor and Karan Singh Grover in key roles.

Rohit Shetty is all set to come up with the third instalment of his popular 'Singham' franchise. This time, the filmmaker has roped in Deepika Padukone along with Kareena Kapoor for the film. Confirming Deepika's casting, Rohit had earlier said, "We are making Singham next. Everyone kept asking me who is the lady cop in my universe. So today, let me confirm that Deepika Padukone will be the lady Singham, the lady cop in Singham 3. We will start shooting next year."

Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' created a lot of buzz about who will be playing Ranbir Kapoor's mother in the second instalment. After a lot of speculation, the OTT version of the film had confirmed Deepika’s casting as Amrita in Brahmastra 2. Deepika is clearly visible in one scene which comes right after the interval where she is seen holding baby Shiva in her hands. Deepika’s character might reportedly shape the entire progress and transformation of Shiva.

Deepika had announced the official Hindi remake of the Hollywood film, 'The Intern' with Rishi Kapoor. After the sudden demise of the veteran actor in 2020, the makers brought in Amitabh Bachchan on board to step into the shoes of Rishi Kapoor. Reports were recently rife that the actress is no longer a part of the film. However, there has been no official announcement regarding the same as yet.
