Shahid Kapoor, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sonakshi Sinha: Actors all set to make their debut in web series

After impressing one and all with their power-packed performances on the silver screen, many Bollywood stars are now all set to jump into the bandwagon of actors who have explored the popular OTT space. From Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, to Juhi Chawla, here’s a list of actors who will make their much-awaited digital debut in 2022.

While we are all waiting for the release of Shahid Kapoor’s much-awaited film, ‘Jersey’, his upcoming web-series has also kept his fans on the tenterhooks. The superstar will be making his foray into the OTT space with Raj & DK’s untitled drama-thriller. The series is going to be dark and will have sharp humour like other works of the promising filmmakers. The show is reportedly co-written by Sita R Menon, Suman Kumar, and Hussain Dalal.

Bollywood’s ‘Dabangg’ girl Sonakshi Sinha has been roped in for an upcoming web series named, ‘Fallen’. The series is reportedly based on the story of a man from Kerala who has been charged with numerous cases of wedding fraud and robbery. Directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, the show will also feature actors like Vijay Varma, and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles.

While Aditya Roy Kapur is prepping up for his upcoming film, ‘Om: The Battle Within’, he is also prepping up for his digital debut this year. The show is reportedly an official Hindi remake of the popular Hollywood series titled, ‘The Night Master’. It also stars Anil Kapoor and Sobhita Dhulipala in key roles. In the espionage thriller, an undercover agent and a secret arms dealer engage in a cat-and-mouse chase.

Fatima Sana Shaikh is a part of an upcoming anthology which is an official Hindi adaptation of popular American television series named, ‘Modern Love’. he directors who have contributed to the Indian series are Hansal Mehta, Vishal Bhardwaj, Anjali Menon, Alankrita Shrivastava, Dhruv Sehgal, and Shonali Bose.

After impressing one and all with her last release, ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ that also starred late Rishi Kapoor, Juhi Chawla is all set to make her web series debut with ‘Hush Hush’. The suspense drama also stars 90s star Aayesh Jhulka in the lead role. The show will reportedly promote the idea of women presenting their own tales by focusing on a unique female perspective.
