Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan: When celebs spoke about Sidharth Shukla

Sidharth Shukla suffered a massive heart attack and passed away on Thursday morning. The actor was only 40 and is survived by his mother and two sisters. The actor has left behind a deep void in the entertainment industry, and fans, friends and family have been condoling the actor's sudden demise on social media since. Take a look at what his Bollywood colleagues had to say about the actor…

2/7

Alia Bhatt

Recalling the late actor, Alia shared, “Sid, one of the warmest, kindest and most genuine people I’ve worked with...always smiling and always positive!” She further prayed for his departed soul and added, “My heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones and his fans who have loved him so deeply! Rest in peace!”

3/7

Shah Rukh Khan

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan called Sidharth a ‘gentleman’ on a reality show where the superstar had appeared as a guest. SRK even teased the late actor after he performed with his on-screen daughter Sana Saeed on the stage. He jokingly separated Sidharth from Sana and looked at them with surprise. After hugging Sana, Khan told Sid, "Tum shareef ho maine note karliya hai. Tumne zada mere saamne toh badtameezi nahi ki (I have made note of your decent behaviour. In front of me, you didn't misbehave much).”

4/7

Varun Dhawan

Varun Dhawan expressed his grief for his co-star Sidharth in a note that read, “Rip brother u are loved by so many and u touched so many with your kind heart and beautiful personality. Today heaven has gained a star and we have lost one. My deepest condolences to the family and loved ones.” Varun had once opened up about how people are crazy about Sidharth. He had jokingly added that he was a bit jealous of him when he got a lot of attention on the sets of ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’.

5/7

Vikrant Massey

Vikrant Massey, who was earlier compared to Sidharth during their series ‘Broken But Beautiful, previously told SpotBoye “I think some comparisons are not at all valid. When we talk about 'Broken But Beautiful', I was a part of the first two instalments of the show. The third season was Sidharth’s first. I have read people comparing us, and I think that’s completely unfair to him, me, the makers of the show and even to the audience. We anyway have a completely different style of working. These comparisons are really not required there. As far as comparisons between Harshvardhan and me are concerned, I really don’t think much about it.” Reacting to Sidharth’s untimely death, he tweeted recently, “Absolutely stunned into silence! Your untimely death is yet again a reminder of the fragility of life! Deepest condolences of the family, friends and fans”.

6/7

Sonia Rathee

Actress Sonia Rathee, who shared screen space with the actor in their OTT show, told Zee that she has never been intimidated by Sidharth’s stardom. She said, “He never made me feel intimidated of any sort and it was very comfortable working with him, you know! So I never felt that intimidation”.

7/7

Sahil Vaid

Sidharth’s ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ co-star Sahil Vaid shared with ETimes, “We worked together in one of my most successful films 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' and those scenes--be it the Sanjay National Park running scene or the ones in Chandigarh-- are still fresh in my mind. I can tell you that he was a very accommodating actor. He added, “His heart was completely the opposite of his personality; he looked aggressive and was projected very differently in 'Bigg Boss'. But he wasn’t like that at all; he was sweet to everyone. I used to call him the Gentle Giant and had some fun times with him".
