As far as the number game goes, Scarlett Johansson reigned supreme. She was not only a part of 'Avengers: Endgame' that went on to become the highest-grossing film of all time with a collection of $ 2.80 billion, but she was also crowned as the highest-earning actress of the year. Cashing in a paycheck of about $56 million, the actress beat out all the other women on the list with a huge margin of over $10 million. Besides starring in the 'Avengers' franchise, she bagged her solo superhero film 'Black Widow' and even scooped up the lead role in the awards' season favourite 'Marriage Story' and the satire 'Jojo Rabbit'.

Oscar-winner Brie Larson put on her superhero suit for the first time this year and registered her first $1 billion film with 'Captain Marvel'. The film went on to become the first female superhero film to get into the coveted billion-dollar club. Just months after making her superhero debut, she featured in 'Avengers: Endgame' that went on to become the highest-grossing film of all time at the international box office.

Margot Robbie was on a roll this year with two out of her three films of 2019, being a favourite at the awards shows. 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' and 'Bombshell' are rumoured to be in the running for an Oscar to be held early next year. The actress also came in 8th on the list of highest-earning actresses in Hollywood with a fat 8 digit paycheque that totalled to an estimated $23.5 million.

Her lead role in the critically acclaimed 'Hustlers', not only won her applause but also critical acclaim and landed her a SAG Award nomination.
