Salman Khan, Sidhu Moose Wala to Sonu Nigam: Celebs who were threatened by gangsters

Several celebrities in India have received death threats from gangsters. From superstar Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, singer Sidhu Moose Wala to Boman Irani and Sonu Sood, stars had complained of getting threats for various reasons.

Here, take a look at the celebs who were threatened by the gangsters.

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi had threatened to kill Salman Khan in Rajasthan where he was appearing before the court for the blackbuck case.

"Salman Khan will be killed here, in Jodhpur…Then he will come to know about our real identity," Bishnoi said while being taken to a Jodhpur court amidst heavy police security.

Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified men in his village in Punjab on May 29, 2022. Later, in an interview, Mika Singh told that Sidhu had received death threats three years back.

Ahead of the release of his film 'Happy New Year', Shah Rukh Khan had received threats from the underworld. Reportedly four rounds were fired outside producer Karim Morani's residence in Juhu. As per the reports, a note found where the shots were fired said 'SRK will be the next target.'

Later, Boman Irani and Sonu Sood who were also part of the film received threats from the underworld.

In 2013, Police stated that Singer Sonu Nigam was allegedly been threatened by the underworld to cancel his deal with an event management company and sign up with another which was chosen by them.

As per the reports, underworld don Ravi Pujari threatened singer Arijit Singh and asked him to pay Rs 5 crore. He also asked the singer to perform at concerts for him free of cost. However, the singer refused to take any police protection. Also, he didn't file any complaint against Ravi Pujari.
