‘Saiyaara’: 5 times when Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda-starrer made headlines

Mohit Suri’s film ‘Saiyaara’ has become a massive success at the box office. The film’s unexpected dominance in the theatres made its lead actors, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, stars overnight. Today, we take a look at the times when the movie made headlines.

The film was released in theatres on July 18, 2025. And on the first day itself, the romantic drama made huge numbers at the box office, so much so that it became Mohit Suri’s biggest opener. The big number was the first indication that the film will turn out to be a huge success.

As per Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 21.5 crore at the box office on its opening day.

Well, the box office number clearly indicates the love the movie is receiving. But apart from the audience, the film is also getting praised by the industry stalwarts.
Actors like Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Anupam Kher, and Varun Dhawan; filmmakers Sidharth Anand and Subhash Ghai; and many more showered love on the movie.

After its release, fans went berserk on social media. Videos and pictures of fans crying in the theatres, coming to watch the film even after being unwell.
A video of a fan feeding cake to Ahaan’s picture on the wall also went viral on the internet. Even the actor replied to his post. Fans loved the sweet gesture of the actor towards the fan.

The title track of ‘Saiyaara’ was accused of being copied from One Direction’s ‘Night Changes’ and Jubin Nautiyal’s ‘Humnava Mere.’
Addressing the same in an interview with India Today, Tanishk said, “Whatever I do, people will have something to say because they don't have (anything better to do).”
The composer further added that everyone is trying to keep on looking for opportunities to put him down. He added, “As for the comparisons, if you look at the melody, the chords are the same. The A minor scale has just about 3-4 chords, but every melody has a different soul. That doesn't mean that anything was stolen. Even if you can do that, it's really difficult to make it a hit.”

The film has been earning massive numbers since day one at the box office. It earned Rs 271.6 crore as of now. According to Sacnilk, the film will cross Rs 300 crore by Friday.
Globally, the movie has earned Rs 350 crore. From August 1, the film is set to clash with ‘Son of Sardar 2’ and ‘Dhadak 2.’
