‘Rashmi Rocket’, ‘Looop Lapeta’, 'Shabaash Mithu': Taapsee Pannu's upcoming films to watch out for

Taapsee Pannu is among the few Bollywood actors who work on multiple projects in a year. She has been making some unique choices and delivering exceptional performances over the years. Her upcoming list of films is also quite promising.

From ‘Rashmi Rocket’, to ‘Looop Lapeta’, to ‘Dobaaraa’, here’s a list of upcoming films of Taapsee Pannu that we can’t wait to watch!

‘Rashmi Rocket’

‘Rashmi Rocket’ is the story of an athlete from Gujarat. While her character is not inspired by any real life athletes, it draws inspiration from them. The film stars Priyanshu Painyuli as her husband. Ask through the shoot of the film, Taapsee gave fans a glimpse of her training on social media through pictures and videos. While the shoot for the film has wrapped up, the makers are yet to announce a release date.

‘Looop Lapeta’

Taapsee claims that she came to the narration session with the intention of saying a clear ‘no’ to the film in mind, but left agreeing to do it. ‘Looop Lapeta’ is the official Hindi remake of the German cult film, ‘Run Lola Run’ and Taapsee steps into the shoes of Franka Potente as Savi. The film also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, who will essay the role of her onscreen boyfriend. The film is slated to hit the theatres on October 22, 2021.

‘Shabaash Mithu’

While fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Kapil Dev’s biopic, there is another biopic of a cricketer in the making. ‘Shabaash Mithu’ is based on the life and journey of prominent Indian cricketer Mithali Raj. Directed by Rahul Dholakia, the film was earlier scheduled to release on February 5, 2021. However, it was pushed ahead due to the pandemic and the resulting lockdown. The makers are yet to announce the new release date.

‘Dobaaraa’

After ‘Manmarziyaan’, Taapsee Pannu reunited with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap for their next venture, ‘Dobaaraa’, which is reportedly a sci-fi movie. Talking about the film, Taapsee had said that it is going to be a one-of-its-kind thriller. The actress added that she has been very lucky with the thriller genre in her career so far and she always looks forward to pushing the envelope with this genre.

‘Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan?’

Taapsee will be seen sharing the screen space with Pratik Gandhi of ‘Scam 1992’ fame in this investigative comedy directed by Arshad Syed. The actress will reportedly play a feisty cop while Pratik will play a chauvinist brat. Talking about her character, Taapsee told a news portal that she loved the strong and thoroughly unique and entertaining character that Arshad had written for her.
