Ranbir-starrer 'Rockstar' a tribute to Shammi?

Shammi Kapoor may have passed away but the legendary entertainer still lives on through his work... It's a well-known fact that Shammi Kapoor shot for a few scenes in Imtiaz Ali directed film 'Rockstar'.
In the movie Ranbir Kapoor plays a small town boy hoping to become a Rockstar someday. While the character of Shammi Kapoor symbolises a generation past, Ranbir's symbolises the youth of today.
If talks are to be believed, the cast and crew of 'Rockstar' is so moved and saddened by the passing away of Shammi Kapoor that they are thinking of deicating this movie to the Yahoo star. “He was the true Rockstar on the sets. Always smiling and full of life. He never complained and just wanted to have fun while he worked,” we are told.
Ranbir Kapoor, too, is immensely thankful that he got a chance to work with his grand uncle in this film, else sharing screen space would've remained but a faraway dream!
