Paparazzo recalls the day Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt revealed their daughter Raha Kapoor's face: 'Ranbir gestured at us from afar...'
Celebrity photographer Manav Manglani recently shared his experiences of capturing Bollywood’s biggest stars, including the growing popularity of star kids like Raha Kapoor, daughter of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. In a recent interview, he recalled the day Ranbir and Alia revealed Raha’s face to the paparazzi on the Kapoor family Christmas party.
"My video of her face reveal touched 1 million views in six minutes. I was like, ‘What the f…’ It crossed 10 million in 24 hours. We thought only Ranbir and Alia would pose, but Ranbir gestured at us from afar, and said, ‘Wait, I’m bringing her out, don’t make noise’,” Manav said in an appearance on the Aleena Dissects.
Reflecting on the issue of photographing star kids, Manav mentioned that while he’s not against it, he respects boundaries and avoids clicking pictures of them when they’re alone. Many celebrities, like Anushka Sharma and Kareena Kapoor Khan, have requested privacy for their children, with some revealing their kids' faces only when they’re older.
Manav also talked about the long hours he spent waiting to photograph Ranbir Kapoor in his Sanjay Dutt look for the 2018 biopic Sanju. He and his team waited eight hours to get the exclusive shot. The producers had no idea about the photos, but Manav knew the pictures would cause a dhamaka.
In the same interview, Manav shared his thoughts on why Jaya Bachchan love-hate relationship with the paparazzi. He mentioned that the veteran actress isn’t accustomed to the large presence of media today and she hates it when they spot her off-guard. He also revealed that Jaya Bachchan can have her fun moments with the paparazzi too.
