Navratri means nine days of festive revelry and B-Town stars, too, deck up in stunning traditional ensembles to seek blessings at pandals. However, there won't be any lavish celebration this year too owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was recently reported that Kajol and her cousin Rani Mukerji who celebrate Durga Puja every year at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja, would be opting for a low-key virtual affair. Alia Bhatt made her presence felt at one of Mumbai's oldest pujos, organised by filmmaker Ayan Mukerji's father Deb Mukerji. For the festive occasion, the 'Sadak 2' actress had donned an elegant red saree. She happily posed for pictures with Ayan and Hrithik Roshan at the pandal.

Kajol, Rani Mukerji, and their families are ardent devotees of Maa Durga and every year, we would get to see photos of the sisters celebrating Durga Pujo. In these photos, we can see them participating in sindoor khela with friends Karan Johar and Natasha Poonawalla. After the Visarjan puja, married women, dressed in white saree with red borders perform goddess Durga's aarti and then apply sindoor over the idol's forehead and feet before smearing sindoor on each other's forehead.

During the festive season of Navratri, Bollywood celebs visit pandals to seek blessings from goddess Durga. In this throwback photo, megastar Amitabh Bachchan along with his wife Jaya Bachchan went for darshan on Durga Ashtami. The star couple was joined by Kajol and Ayan Mukerji. Big B and Jaya were twinning in white for the special occasion.

During Durga Puja in 2018, a video of Sushmita Sen doing the Dhunuchi Nach (dance) with her elder daughter Renee went viral on social media. In this still, from the video, she can be seen dressed in a beige saree that she teamed with a red embroidered silk blouse. Her hair was tied in a neat high bun.
