Movies Releasing During Diwali 2024

Diwali 2024 is looking like a blockbuster celebration for movie aficionados as the festive season sees some big-budget movies hitting screens. The action-packed thrillers, historical dramas, and sequels to fan favorites are something to look out for on the Diwali box office. The big titles, which will make a presence in the silver, include Singham Again, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Kanguva.

2/4

Singham Again

Rohit Shetty brings back his brave and honest cop, Bajirao Singham, in the form of Ajay Devgn with the third Singham installment. Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor Khan will be his leading ladies, and Ranveer Singh has been there just for the cameo. High-voltage action and chase sequences do make up the film's usual Rohit Shetty formula, along with patriotic undertones. With an ensemble cast and larger-than-life stunts, Singham Again is likely to be one of the biggest box-office hits during the Diwali season.

3/4

Kanguva

The film Kanguva (releasing post Diwali) brings out a never-seen-before avatar of Suriya opposite to his co-actress, Disha Patani. Directed by Siva, this is a period-action drama set in an ancient world, with some highly stylised battles and intricate storytelling. The production design and VFX work are indeed impressive, setting a great spectacle for the big screen. Suriya comes out all intense as a warrior who crosses all boundaries of war to move around, which is at the heart of the movie. Besides, Devi Sri Prasad's music galvanises the epic narrative of the film. This will definitely be a good watch this Diwali with Suriya and such a unique setting.

4/4

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is the third part of the popular horror-comedy franchise. Written by Aakash Kaushik and directed by Anees Bazmee, it stars Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri, shot in Kolkata, West Bengal. The latest chapter follows the spook mixed with comedy, bringing more frightening moments to the upcoming movie, as it continues in the favorite franchise style. Although the horror suspense fills much of it, full-on comic moments ensure that the film would make a perfect entertainer for families to enjoy during Diwali.
