Considering the high demand and advance pre-bookings, major multiplex chains across India have got the permission to screen '
Avengers
: Endgame' 24×7 throughout the country. This means that some shows of the much-awaited film will be screened post 12 midnight in theatres. The movie has already witnessed massive pre-release advance bookings, crossing 1 million ticket sales.
Midnight and post-midnight film screening are common in foreign countries, but laws in India didn't allow for shows to be played beyond midnight. However, the distributors of 'Avengers: Endgame' has somehow managed to secure the permission. Heading to the high sale of tickets and its popularity, the
midnight shows
will give a decent boost to the film’s collections.
The film is reportedly releasing on only 2k and 4k screens, so the collections would have been limited. However, the midnight shows can give a boost to its collection. However, as of now, the makers are only planning to have these shows only in A-tier cities and especially in
IMAX
and
4DX
versions.
A lot of fans were disappointed since they couldn't book tickets on time to see the movie on weekends as the shows got sold out. However, the midnight shows will present them with one more chance and despite the unusual timings, the shows are expected to have 100% occupancy since the demand for the movie is touching new heights.
