Monsoon Wedding nominated for Golden Globe

guess what mira nair's monsoon wedding may have released and received a mixed response from the indian audience. but the film hasn't let off steam just yet. after winner the golden lion award earlier, the film has now been nominated for the golden globe awards. the story of a punjabi wedding, interspersed with a cute love story between to characters who are only incidental to the film, mira nair's film does have interesting aspects which are well liked by even the global audience.the film has been nominated in the best foreign language film category and will face competition from amelie (france), behind the sun (brazil), no man's land (bosnia), y tu mama tambien (meaning 'and your mother too'; from mexico). the awards will be presented on 20th january next year. so if you can't wait to find out which film's gonna make it, hold your horses till then!
