Manoj Bajpayee is widely regarded as a gem in the film industry. With over four decades of experience and more than 100 films under his belt, he has engaged and inspired audiences around the globe. Recently, Bajpayee treated fans to a collection of fascinating untold anecdotes from his outstanding cinematic journey.
In the cult classic 'Veer Zaara', Bajpayee made a guest appearance as Raza, the intended husband of Zaara. Speaking with Pinkvilla, the actor discussed how he handled allegations suggesting that his character was responsible for damaging the central love story of 'Veer Zaara'.
Manoj Bajpayee expressed his perspective on 'Veer Zaara', stating that, to him, Shah Rukh Khan's character was the antagonist of the film. The actor said that when he is given a role, he thinks from the character's perspective. Then he will be able to make it believable. That's how his thought process was while approaching the role. For him, Shah Rukh was the villain (laughs). For Raza, Shah Rukh was a bad man. Since Raza was powerful, he could trap them. If Khan was not powerful, he would commit suicide somewhere, or he would spend the rest of his life as 'Devdas'.
Manoj Bajpayee is all set for his milestone 100th film, 'Bhaiyya Ji', directed by Apoorv Singh Karki. Scheduled for release in theaters on May 24, 2024, the film promises to be a desi-masala action entertainer, marking a significant moment in Bajpayee's famous career.
