Manoj Bajpayee angers the Nawab of Bijnor

Actor Manoj Bajpayee dismisses the Nawab of Bijnor as a fan and refused to meet him
Now this is one incident that actor Manoj Bajpayee will not forget in a hurry. While shooting in Bijnor for his forthcoming film, “Lanka”, the actor almost had a brush with royalty, but in turn managed to anger the Nawab of Bijnor.
It so happened that on hearing about the team shooting in town, the Nawab of Bijnor ordered his household staff to prepare some delicacies for the cast and crew, especially Manoj Bajpayee, since he is a fan of the actor.The Nawab then landed on the sets and expressed his desire to meet the actor.
While Manoj was going through his dialogues for the day, the Nawab approached him. The actor dismissed him as one of his fans and walked off to his van. This greatly angered the Nawab who then ordered his staff to take back all the delicacies.
However, when the actor got to know of the incident he tried calling and apologizing to the Nawab who in turn refused to speak to the actor. Confirming the incident Manoj Bajpai said, “I had no idea that the Nawab, who is a fan, had come to see me. If I had known I would have definitely met him and eaten the food that he had got especially for me. I tried calling him, but was told he is upset and refuses to speak. Well, I missed out on the food, so I guess it's entirely my loss."
