Madhur Bhandarkar has finished shooting half of his next film '

', which is set against the backdrop of the 1975 Emergency.

The film stars Kirti Kulhari, who plays the titular role of a stammering poetess who rebels against the system alongside Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bengali actor Tota Roy Chowdhury.

"Completed 50 per cent shooting of film #InduSarkar. Half the battle won, half to go," Bhandarkar posted on Twitter.

The filmmaker returns to direction after 2015 film 'Calendar Girls'.
