After treating one and all with his power-packed performance in 'Pathaan' earlier this year, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to enthrall the audience with his next titled, 'Jawan'. Ahead of its release on September 7, the makers dropped its blockbuster trailer today and it has just raised the anticipation level amongst his fans. As we wait for the film to hit the theatres next month, here are FIVE interesting facts about the Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi starrer that are sure to blow your mind!

SRK's inspiration for 'Jawan'

Shah Rukh Khan will be sporting multiple looks and playing a double role in the Atlee directorial. During one of his #AskSRK sessions on X, the actor had spilled the beans on how he prepared for his character in the film. He said, "I watched a lot of Atlee films. Vijay sir. Allu Arjun ji. Rajni sir, Yash and loads of other stars to understand the language of expression for the world that was being created. And yes, then prepped for my own character too. #Jawan."

SRK tries his hands in choreography

Did you know that Shah Rukh Khan tried his hands in choreography in 'Jawan'? Yes, you read that right! In 'Jawan' Prevue, a bald SRK was seen comically dancing to Hemant Kumar’s 'Beqarar Karke Humein', from the 1962 film 'Bees Saal Baad', inside the metro. According to a report in Hindustan Times, it was Shah Rukh who choreographed the dance steps. The superstar confirmed the same during his #AskSRK session on X. He revealed that the song choice was Atlee’s idea. He shared, "The song is Atlee’s idea. I also love it with the dance and all. Too much magic in the idea I think. #Jawan”

Show business

Advance overseas bookings for the film have already kicked off and the film has been receiving tremendous response from the audience. Amidst this, 'Jawan' will become the first film to be screened at 6AM at the iconic Mumbai theatres, Gaiety Galaxy. This is not the first time a new show has been created for the superstar's film. Earlier, his film, 'Pathaan' created history by having a 9AM show in Gaiety Galaxy. It was the first time in its 51-year history.

Blockbuster supporting cast

Apart from the lead actors, Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, Atlee's 'Jawan' also features actors like Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, Priyamani and others in supporting cast. The makers have also roped in Deepika Padukone for a special cameo in the movie, the glimpse of which was shared both in the prevue and the trailer. Not only this, the makers have also planned special appearances of Sanjay Dutt and Thalapathy Vijay.

Runtime

After waiting for a long time, the prevue and the trailer of Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Jawan' are finally out and fans are now waiting with bated breath for the film to hit the theatres. According to a report in India Today, the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted U/A certificate to 'Jawan'. The runtime of the film will reportedly be 2 hours and 49 minutes. It will be released on September 7, 2023.
