The actress shared the video on social media and jokingly called it a 'new age DDLJ,' comparing their lighthearted train prank to the iconic train scene from Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s classic film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'.

On Sunday, Sonakshi posted a video showing her sitting by a train window, casually checking her phone. Out of nowhere, husband Zaheer popped up outside the window, startling her. After the initial shock, Sonakshi burst into laughter. She captioned the video, “New age DDLJ," along with laughing emojis.

The couple tied the knot in June 2024 in an intimate ceremony after dating for seven years. They registered their marriage at Sonakshi’s home and later hosted a grand reception attended by many Bollywood celebrities. The couple first met at a party hosted by Salman Khan. Zaheer, who debuted with Salman’s home production 'Notebook', has worked with Sonakshi in the film 'Double XL' and the music video 'Blockbuster'.

Sonakshi was recently seen in the psychological thriller 'Nikita Roy', alongside Arjun Rampal and Paresh Rawal, directed by Kush S Sinha. Despite its star cast, the film failed at the box office. She will next appear in the Telugu thriller 'Jatadhara' opposite Sudheer Babu. Zaheer was last seen in a cameo in Aayush Sharma’s action thriller 'Ruslaan' and has yet to announce his next project.
