It takes nothing for Shah Rukh Khan to make headlines - here's proof

It is not for nothing that Shah Rukh Khan is known as the Badshah of Bollywood. Besides his inimitable charm, his filmography boasts of a slew of blockbusters, the most recent ones being Pathaan and Jawan that seem to be shattering all box office records worldwide. Our King Khan is truly back with a bang and there is more to come. But he will be the King even without his films. Such is his presence and influence all over. Look at the week gone by, for instance. SRK made the most of tabloid headlines despite doing nothing to make one, thanks to his various peers. We list down 5 instances.

When Sonu Nigam tried to make a point...

Sonu has lent his voice to SRK several times with chartbuster songs like Yeh Dil Deewana (Pardes) and Satrangi Re (Dil Se). In a recent interaction, Sonu made a point that actors seldom compete to select singers for their films. “I don’t think actors fight or interfere with singers in their films. If that was the case, I would still be singing for Shah Rukh Khan. They think this is the composer’s or director’s department. The best they can do is give their preference. But they don’t fight for anyone,” he was quoted saying by Zoom.

When Shahid Kapoor thought being compared to SRK was the 'worst thing'...

Back when Shahid Kapoor made his debut with Ishq Vishk, his romantic image was often compared to that of Shah Rukh Khan's. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Shahid said that it's the worst thing that can happen. "Why should you be the next anything? You are you and they are they. And that is the worst part of the job that you are doing, that you must be like somebody who is already successful. If you are like them, by virtue of that, you will be successful in the future. This is the dumbest logic that I have ever heard in my life,” Shahid was quoted saying.

When Mahira Khan celebrated her wedding with an SRK number...

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who starred opposite SRK in Raees, exchanged wedding vows with Salim Karim in an intimate ceremony. The actress shared some personal moments from the wedding festivities. In one of the posts, she was captured dancing jubilantly to the tune of Shah Rukh's hit song Maahi Ve from Kal Ho Naa Ho. Well, is there an Indian wedding complete without an SRK dance number?

When Akshay Kumar lauded Shah Rukh Khan...

Following the release of his latest film Mission Raniganj, Akshay Kumar interacted with the press and lauded his contemporary SRK for his films setting new benchmarks by crossing the 1000 crore mark at the box office. "I hope the industry gives more and more hits," he said, adding, "I was very happy when Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan did so much business. There are many other films like Gadar 2, OMG 2, which also did well. So, it's very good for the industry."

When Ravi Kishan recalled Shah Rukh shooting for Army despite high fever...

Ravi Kishan and Shah Rukh Khan worked together in the 1996 film Army. Kishan recently recalled an incident from the sets and praised SRK's determination towards his craft. In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, he said, "We were shooting the climax song of Army at Mehboob Studio. Shah Rukh had a 103 fever, and even with that, he came and sat on the set. He didn’t even have a big role in the film. It was a cameo role. Still, he watched the shoot with full commitment. His eyes had that attitude of do or die."
