R Madhavan further called Akshaye a "talented" and "grounded" actor. Maddy said, "He could be giving a million interviews. But he is sitting in his new home enjoying the silence that he has always cherished."
Talking about being envious of Akshaye, Madhavan expressed that just being a part of 'Dhurandhar' is "enough." He added that the movie is making history, and he is glad to be part of it.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, R. Madhavan was asked if, according to the netizens, he is unhappy with Akshaye Khanna going viral for his role as Rehman Dakait from 'Dhurandhar'. The actor, who played the character of Ajay Sanyal in the film, said, "Not at all! I cannot be happier for Akshaye. In the same interaction, R. Madhavan shared that he always thought of himself as an "underplayer." He said, "I thought I was the underplayer when it came to public attention. But Akshaye Khanna is on another level. He just doesn’t care.
